This project was a "visual interpretation" of part of Jon Krakauer's book "Into the Wild." I selected a passage from the book and chose to create a video for the project. I found actors to play the parts and filmed, directed, and edited the video.
I created this short animation using Adobe After Affects. The title character is based loosely on an actual cat I used to live with who was rather disturbed.
I went on a drift by walked through parts of Vancouver, Washington and taking photographs and notes on what I noticed along the way. To select my path, I followed the rule of not going the same direction twice.
For this project I experimented with telling a story using hypertext. The well-known story of "The Boy Who Cried Wolf" is enhanced by sounds and visuals provided through links.
